On February 7th we hosted our inaugural CxO roundtable event accompanied by a tour of our Security Operations Center (SOC) in Lagos, Nigeria.
Featuring industry leaders from the financial services, technology, and consulting sectors, the focus of the event was AI, under the theme “Beyond Automation – Unleashing the Strategic Power of AI for Cybersecurity.”
The speakers discussed the pivotal role of artificial intelligence to transcend mere automation and emerge as a strategic tool for safeguarding critical infrastructure.
Olugbolahan Olusanya, Country Manager at Tek Experts Nigeria, emphasized the value of this roundtable for industry leaders to engage in dialogue about the impact of technology on business, the workforce, and the economy. He stated, “We chose AI as the first topic in this series because we believe that it is not just about automation but about empowering cybersecurity professionals to make informed decisions and exceed their expected results.”
Michael Arov, the EVP Cyber Solutions and Strategy at Cytek, highlighted the constant evolution of cyber threats and the necessity for organizations to harness the power of AI. The highlight of the event was an exclusive tour of Cytek’s newly unveiled Security Operations Center in Lagos, providing participants with a firsthand experience of AI’s integration in real-time threat detection and response.
Tosin Okubanjo, Senior Territory Channel Manager at Microsoft Nigeria, highlighted the important role Microsoft Sentinel plays in the SOC’s operations and how we leverage this technology to ensure continuous excellent service.
